Terry D. Alston

Terry D. Alston has served as Chief Finance Officer in Halifax County (NC) Public Schools and as a Federal Program Administrator with Weldon (NC) Public Schools. Terry holds her master’s in administration degree from Central Michigan University. She has 31 years of experience as an educator working in Title I public schools from birth through high school. Her responsibilities and expertise include: community engagement, federal programs, curriculum and instruction, design and evaluation of professional development and literacy. She also serves as Adjunct Instructor in Human Resource Development and General Equivalency Development at Halifax Community College. Due to Terry’s accuracy in Finance, the district was honored with a Certificate of Achievement Award for Financial Reporting for the fourth year in a row. Terry’s belief is home, school and community partnerships are essential for helping students achieve at their maximum potential.
