Lindsay Burton

Ms. Lindsay Burton serves as Associate Director for the School Safety Task Force at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. The School Safety Task Force was established to support the Federal government’s efforts in strengthening the safety and security of kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools across the country.  In her leadership role, Ms. Burton leads the Department’s effort to increase safety and security of our nation’s schools. In addition, Ms. Burton currently oversees the Federal Clearinghouse on School Safety and SchoolSafety.gov, an interagency initiative to coordinate Federal efforts to make schools secure and resilient. She also manages the program’s design and deployment of capacity-building resources to support schools and communities in preventing violence and mitigate impacts of instances of violence, including the CISA K-12 School Security Guide Product Suite, National Summit on K-12 School Safety and Security, and K-12 Bystander Reporting Toolkit.
