Heather is a former district director of family engagement and community partnerships at a large urban school district, an expert parent and professional trainer, and an effective provider of technical assistance to schools. She has provided consulting, grant-writing, and training services around the nation and has served on numerous boards and committees in her professional field and community. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in women’s studies from the University of Minnesota Morris. She is the parent of two adult children and lives in the mountains of central Colorado.
