Charlitta Hatch

Chief Data and Analytics Officer

Charlitta Hatch is a doctoral student in Urban Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she also earned her Master’s degree and a certificate in Qualitative Research and Anti-Racism. Her research explores the intersection of family engagement, race, and Black mothers’ experiences navigating educational systems, with a focus on fostering equity and culturally affirming environments.

Charlitta is the inaugural Chief Data and Analytics Officer for the City of Charlotte, where she leverages over 20 years of expertise in data strategy, organizational transformation, and culturally responsive leadership. She has served as an adjunct professor, teaching courses on the history of racism and the psychology of the Black experience, and is a 3-time children’s book author passionate about empowering the next generation. Charlitta is committed to excellence, advocacy, and service, exemplified by her leadership roles and recognition as a mentor and change agent in her community.
