Ana Medina grew up in a small countryside borough of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. She received her Bachelor degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and her Master from New York University in 1998.
As an educator, Mrs. Medina has served in various capacities to include classroom teacher, where she was named the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher of the Year for Virginia Beach Public Schools, Library Media Specialist, English Language Learner (ELL) instructor, and currently as Family & Community Engagement Specialist. As a member of the FACE team with Chesapeake Public Schools, Mrs. Medina’s goal is to advocate for ELL and multilingual families and connect them with the resources necessary in order to succeed.
