Allyson Pennington

Mrs. Pennington is in her 6th year as principal at EJES.  Prior to coming to EJES, she served as an assistant principal, learning coordinator and teacher at three other elementary schools in the Jackson County system as well as teaching in Virginia where she is originally from.  EJES was named a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School in 2023, named one of The Best Elementary Schools in 2024 by U.S News and World Report. and received the SSTAGE Award for promising practices in 2023 as well.  EJES and  has focused their efforts on engaging parents and the community in the school and strengthening those relationships.  Mrs. Pennington lives in Athens, Ga with her husband and two children.
