Maxine Petty, a Virginia Native, is the CEO/Owner of MAP Strategic
Consulting, LLC. Which focuses on building strong families and communities.
Maxine has over 15 years of experience in education, leaderships, nonprofit work
and community outreach. She has dedicated her career to fostering meaningful
partnerships between families, local organizations and schools. Maxine develops
and implements strategies that empower community leaders/members,
parents/families, caregivers to become more active participants in children’s
education. She specializes in building programs and designing initiatives that
bridge the gaps and create lasting change.
Maxine believes that strong communities are built through collaboration and
engagement, ensuring that every child has the support and resources needed to
thrive.
Maxine compels audiences to laugh while they learn. She engages groups from the
moment she steps in front of them and leaves them with empowering tools and focused mindsets that they will use long after the lights have gone out on the
event. Maxine is passionate about bridging the gaps between families and
communities using Transformative Outreach as well as Culturally Responsive
Engagement to promote stronger communities. She encourages and empowers
leaders and educators to understand the power impact of knowing the
populations that they serve.
Maxine has a BS in Psychology and Religion from Liberty University and a M.A.
in Psychology from Northcentral University. She has also participated in the
Family Engagement In Education In Creating Effective Home and School
Partnerships Professional Education institute at Harvard Graduate School of
Education.
