Dr. Dennis M. Williams, Jr., has dedicated 27 years to this noble profession, with twenty years as a building-level administrator. At the young age of 29, he made history by becoming the first African American male to serve as a building principal in his school district. Currently, Dr. Williams is the principal at Hatboro-Horsham High School, where his leadership has garnered national recognition, particularly for his successful high school reform initiatives. He is a seasoned presenter at local, regional, national, and international conferences, with a wealth of knowledge in educational leadership and family engagement practices.

Dr. Williams’ influence extends beyond his role as a principal. He also serves as a consultant, providing invaluable support and training to district leaders and school personnel on various leadership topics. His expertise has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, which has featured him in their journals, and he has been a guest on numerous national podcasts. Dr. Williams is also a prolific writer, with published works in Pennsylvania Administrator magazine, Learning Forward, and Education Week. His writings challenge leaders to adapt to the dynamic landscape of public education. Dr. Williams is the President of Pennsylvania ASCD and the Vice President of the Pennsylvania Coalition for Family Involvement. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Muhlenberg College, his alma mater. Dr. Williams holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from Muhlenberg College, an M.Ed. from Gratz College, a K-12 Principal Certification from Gwynedd-Mercy University, and a Letter of Eligibility from Arcadia University. In 2023, he earned his doctorate in education from Gwynedd-Mercy University.
