Dery Rodriguez is a dedicated advocate for fostering inclusive and engaging environments within educational settings. Currently serving as the Employee Engagement Director at the New York Public Schools, Dery is passionate about celebrating diversity and promoting cultural responsiveness among staff and students. With a background in organizational development and diversity training, Dery works closely with school leaders and administrators to support the vision of Chancellor David C. Banks in advancing cultural responsiveness and employee engagement across the district.
Dery has organized the first Arabic American Heritage Day in collaboration with advocates and foundations, bringing visibility to Arab educators and their contributions. Additionally, Dery has been recognized for her work in empowering family engagement staff across NYC and was awarded a citation by Jumaane D. Williams, the Public Advocate of the City of New York, for her outstanding contributions to community engagement and empowerment initiatives.
